Janet Brown

Aged Care Navigator  – Alice Springs

Alice Springs is home for Janet, and much of her career has been spent working in community services, particularly in employment services, including disability employment. She has also worked in counselling and financial counselling, supporting people to navigate challenging circumstances and build greater stability in their lives.

Earlier in her working life, Janet held an MC licence and drove semi-trailers in Western Australia during the 1980s. She later held an HR licence and drove tour coaches and local bus services in Cairns. These varied experiences have given her a practical perspective and a strong connection to people and communities across Australia.

Outside of work, Janet enjoys a good discussion on political philosophy —valuing thoughtful debate, personal responsibility and strong communities.
