Our Common Threads

Our Common Threads is a free, weekly creative and social sewing group for women in Darwin. This group will be moving to CWA Darwin. The last session at COTA is on 29th July.

The welcoming drop-in sessions provide machines, friendly assistance and a social environment for women of all ages, cultures, and abilities.

• Location: Spillett House, 65 Smith Street, Darwin, NT.
• Meeting days: Wednesdays from 11am
• Participation: No bookings required. You can bring your own projects, enjoy the company and learn new textile skills.
• Refreshments: Participants can bring their own refreshments or a share plate.

Beyond personal projects, the group frequently uses their skills to give back, such as sewing knee rugs for socially isolated aged care residents.
