Leave a Gift in Your Will

Leave a gift in your will

Many people who have been helped and supported by COTA choose to leave a gift for COTA NT in their will. We are very grateful for these gifts and for the recognition of our work.

Naming COTA NT in your will is a simple, yet powerful act (find general information about wills and making a will here).

Your bequest may help to fund:

  • fund or part-fund a health and well-being program for seniors (read more about our Program costs here)
  • fund or part-fund an event or important observance such as Elder Abuse Awareness Day or International Day of the Older Person
  • fund or part-fund a training workshop or forum.

What can I leave in my Will?

  • A general bequest is usually a sum of money or a percentage of the value of your estate
  • A residual bequest includes anything remaining in your estate after specific and general bequests have been paid
  • A specific bequest is a gift of a particular piece of property, such as a house or jewellery.
