COTA Coomalie

COTA Coomalie serves a wide rural community of seniors based in Batchelor, Adelaide River, Coomalie Creek, Lake Bennett and Rum Jungle. COTA Coomalie plays a very special role in the rural community feeding back concerns and issues local seniors to COTA NT”s Chief Executive Officer. It advocates for locals, petitions on their behalf, hosts community events for Members and non-Members, provides low-cost transport for shopping.

Local news for seniors is published in COTA Coomalie News, published monthly by email to over 100 local residents.

Events and activities

  • COTA morning tea, normally held on the last Friday of the month – Rum Jungle Bowls Club with speakers regularly invited to attend.
  • Men’s Shed, Tuesdays, 8.30am to 2.00pm
  • B3 Exercise Group, Tuesdays, 5.00pm ‐6.15pm, Research Building BIITE, Call Darryl on 89760160
  • COTA Coomalie organises a large community event every Seniors Month during August.
