Meet Janet Brown our new Aged Care Navigator
2 Apr 2026

Janet Brown Alice Springs
Janet Brown joined the organisation at the beginning of the year, taking over from Janet Bradbury. We now have two Janets on staff again, and yes, two Janet Browns.
Janet will be working from the 50+ Community Centre, 11 Wills Terrace, Alice Springs on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays (except public holidays) 9am – 2pm.
She will be delivering COTA’s aged care access service (Aged Care Navigation), supporting locals with membership enquiries (COTA NT and NT Seniors Card), arranging Members events and activities and through her engagement with the community, let us know what the local issues and concerns are.
You can contact Janet directly on 0423 828 558 (mob) | Email: or leave a message with Head Office staff in Darwin.
About Janet
Alice Springs is home for Janet, and much of her career has been spent working in community services, particularly in employment services, including disability employment. She has also worked in counselling and financial counselling, supporting people to navigate challenging circumstances and build greater stability in their lives.
Earlier in her working life, Janet held an MC licence and drove semi-trailers in Western Australia during the 1980s. She later held an HR licence and drove tour coaches and local bus services in Cairns. These varied experiences have given her a practical perspective and a strong connection to people and communities across Australia.
Outside of work, Janet enjoys a good discussion on political philosophy —valuing thoughtful debate, personal responsibility and strong communities.
