New Aged Care Reforms Explained Information Sessions for Territorians

10 Sep 2025

You may already know that big changes are coming to aged care. From 1 November 2025, a new Aged Care Act will come into effect. This Act introduces important changes to how aged care in Australia is delivered – with a focus on the rights and needs of older people. The reforms are significant and complex – and they may affect you or someone you care for.

To help people understand what’s changing, COTA Australia and the Older Persons Advocacy Network (OPAN) are hosting community consultations (online and in-person) around Australia.

You can join all these sessions online. The closest in-person session for Territorians is being held in Darwin on Monday 13 October, 9am – 11am.
