COTA NT advocating for and working towards an age-friendly, just, inclusive and equitable society for all Territorians over 50
Grandparents Day is held every year on the last Sunday in October across the world and in some Australian states.
Currently the Northern Territory does not have an officially recognised Grandparents Day.
Grandparents Day typically celebrates the role grandparents and older people play in our society – both the things they have done, and the things they keep doing. It’s a day to spend time with an older loved one and connect across the generations.
At time of writing, COTA NT is preparing to submit a 3-year proposal for a NT Grandparents Day to the Northern Territory Government.
