10 000 print copies are being distributed across the Territory to over 85 locations today.
The April-June edition of SENIORS VOICE features:
Editorial on: the crisis point that has been reached for Territory seniors’ welfare and safety, partnerships between COTA NT, Victims of Crime, Neighbourhood Watch and Catholic Care NT to help raise awareness of issues and available supports, cracks in the systems of care and news of the organisation’s new patron and recognition of long-serving Board Member.
Plus articles on: saying NO MORE, safety inside and outside of home, getting physical in retirement, Seniors Month key dates, a ‘new age’ of care living for the NT, COVID-19 booster advice, medicine recalls, travel – the ultimate stress buster, Central Australia news and events and a lifestyle piece featuring MAD Frogs.
CENTREFOLD – In the centre pages of this edition, you’ll find a preview of our Darwin Seniors Expo being held on Saturday 27 May (10am to 2pm) at CDU Stadium Sitzler Netball Centre, 235 Abala Road, Marrara. Last year’s expo event attracted over 2500 people – with approx 2 weeks until exhibitor registrations close (click here to register and/or to view last year’s showreel) – this year’s event already looks set to be another cracker with more than 50 exhibitors already lined up to attend.
We are excited to see Expo already looking so good and would like to acknowledge our Club and Associate Members in particular, some of whom have supported expo from its beginnings in 2016. Many thanks to long-time sponsor, Territory 104.1 FM, Netball NT and the Northern Territory Major Community Events’ grant which helps make it all happen.
Many thanks to those advertisers who support the publication of Seniors Voice. The next edition of Seniors Voice will be published in July 2023. Ads and classifieds must be booked by 6 July 2023 (or prior). Note: This is the edition to advertise what you are doing for SENIORS MONTH 2023 (August 2023).
