COTA NT has managed the NT Seniors Card program since February 2018 and is working hard to improve the program for Territory seniors. More than 1200 new memberships have been processed since then and there are more than 50 new businesses on board offering seniors great discounts on their goods and services.
New online application form launched
It is now even easier for Territory seniors to apply for a Seniors Card through our new online application process at www.ntseniorscard.org.au. This means you can apply directly for a new card online saving time, resources and postage costs. Since the form launched on the 7th September, we received over 20 applications online. You can still download a copy of the application form from the website or visit one of the many community offices throughout the Territory to pick up an application form.
2018 Business discount directory
The 2018 Business Discount Directory is available at electoral offices, Territory Families shopfronts and some local councils and libraries. We advise you call before you go to check availability.
Further information on where you can pick up a print form or directory is available online, or by calling the NT Seniors Card office on 1800 441 489.
Remember if you are 60 or over and a permanent resident of the Northern Territory, you qualify for a NT Seniors Card. When you show this card to businesses participating in the scheme, you are eligible for their service or products discounts. These are typically up to 10%. You also get $55 off your annual car registration and free bus travel in Darwin and Alice Springs.
Territory businesses – info and registration
Territory businesses interested in joining the scheme should know that there are over 20 000 seniors card holders throughout the Territory and over 250 000 interstate seniors card holders that visit the Territory every year. It is free to join the program and connect to this growing and loyal market. Visit the website for more information and to register your business, www.ntseniorscard.org.au.
