We have had a tremendous response to our Grandparents Day I Love Grandie competition and can’t wait to formally showcase entries at our Grandparents day Celebration event on Sunday 31st October.
With inspiring, beautiful and bright entries from students across the Northern Territory, it’s going to be a tough job picking winners. To all the Principals and Teachers who have supported their students in celebrating their Grandies, thank you! We will publish the full list of acknowledgements to our wonderful schools when we have finished compiling entries.
Grandies you are loved!
You have so many names – Grandma, Pop, Grandad, Nanna, Nanny, Grandpa, Nana, Poppy, Nan – but you are all pretty great and grand in the eyes of your family.
Grandparents day Celebration
Selected entries will be on display on our Grandparents Celebration Event and the overall winners revealed. Do come along and see the artwork for yourselves and remember, you can have a family portrait taken on the day, free of charge.

This is a free community event which includes the announcement of the winners of the Territory-wide “I Love Grandie” competition and display of selected entries, a free barbecue and refreshments, free family photo portraits by a professional photographer, information for grandparents, older kin, carers and kids, kids of all ages’ entertainment including face painting, circus skills, music making corner, mini drivers track, squash and netball.
