COTA NT Postpones Seniors Expo until September – 2 July 2021
2 Jul 2021
COTA NT has postponed its Seniors Expo due to be held on the 9 July at the CDU Stadium Sitzler Netball Centre, 235 Abala Road. The new date for Expo has been scheduled for Saturday 4 September, again between 10am and 2pm at the same venue.
COTA NT has informed its stakeholders of the postponement decision and although disappointing, we believe it is the wisest course of action to take as the wellbeing, safety and confidence of seniors is at the forefront of our thoughts.
All information regarding Expo can be found on our website at www.cotant.org.au/seniors-expo-2021. This includes a confirmation form which can be used by all exhibitors (who are also being contacted by our staff). An updated program and posters will also be available from this page plus requirements around entering the event.
After this brief July lockdown, Expo will be a perfect opportunity for the community to connect again and find out what is on offer for seniors in the Territory. Expo is a popular event due its size – a space where people can be informed by real people about financial, lifestyle, health, recreation activities and opportunities.
COTA NT thanks its sponsors, exhibitors and stakeholders for understanding the changing circumstances and looks forward to seeing everyone on Saturday 4 September. Remember, all ages are welcome – bring your grandchildren along, everyone from 3 to 103 is catered for.
Finally, we urge seniors to check the latest information regarding COVID-19 (lockdowns, exposure sites, vaccinations etc) released by the Northern Territory Government on the https://coronavirus.nt.gov.au/ website or to call the hotline numbers regarding any concerns.
The COTA office will re-open next week but facemasks MUST be worn by all visitors. Our group activities in Spillett House will be cancelled until the following week. Remember Pilates and Seated Aerobics delivered via ZOOM are available.
