COTA NT and Super Ageing launch Strong and Functional

COTA NT in partnership with Super Ageing is excited to announce a brand new class for 2023, Strong & Functional specifically designed for people over 50.

“Our goal is to help older people maintain their strength, flexibility, and overall health through a fun and challenging workout program,” says Sharon Kelly, Super Ageing founder and owner. “We create a supportive and encouraging environment at Spillett House and will help you reach your fitness goals and improve your overall quality of life.”

Sharon is an experienced Personal Trainer and Group Fitness teacher who specialises in working with people over the age of 50. She has been working with COTA NT for almost 10 years, has been in the fitness industry for over 40 years and is 100% qualified to guide those aged over 50 through a variety of exercises that focus on building muscle, improving balance, and increasing mobility.

Whether you’re a seasoned fitness enthusiast or just starting out, this class is suitable for all fitness levels. The workouts will be varied and adaptable to meet the needs of each individual participant. 

Each Strong & Functional class will include

  • A lively warm-up to get your heart rate up and your muscles ready for action
  • Heart-pumping cardio exercises to build endurance and improve cardiovascular health
  • Challenging strength training to build muscle and improve overall power
  • Functional strength exercises to help you tackle daily tasks with ease and confidence
  • Mobility and flexibility exercises to keep you moving freely and feeling great
  • A relaxing cool down and stretch to leave you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated
