Call for event registrations for SM 2019 calendar
4 Jun 2019

Seniors Month calendars are available in print from mid/late July and online as soon as events are registered
COTA NT was part of a panel for the recent Australian Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission forums held in Alice Springs and Darwin. These forums went through the eight standards in force from the 1st July 2019. The standards have a consumer focus and will assist aged care providers in understanding the needs of our elderly and their right to a service that offers, dignity, choice and mechanisms to provide feedback to their provider.
Our 5th annual Seniors Expo last Friday was a fantastic success and showcased all sorts of activities, products and services. Everyone enjoyed the day with lots of mingling, mixing and music and our 50th anniversary cake and morning tea was also popular. This was our biggest Expo yet, and I hope that everyone who attended will be back in 2020.
Now the focus for some of team is on producing the 2019 printed Seniors Month Calendar on behalf of the Northern Territory Government. So, if you are organising an event for seniors in August – not that far away now – you can be included in the print and online calendar by registering your event details with COTA NT. Either fill in the event registration form online, or via registration form, available on request. Email forms to events @ cotant.org.au, or hand into our Darwin office at Spillett House at 65 Smith Street or our Alice Springs office at the Over 50s Centre, or post forms to COTA NT, GPO Box 852, Darwin NT 0801.
All event registrations for the printed calendar must be received by COTA NT by close of business, Wednesday 5th June.
We will be distributing the calendar into locations across the Territory for mid-July, giving everyone – not just those looking at the online calendar – plenty of time to book in for Seniors Month activities.
