2 weeks left to register for Seniors Expo 2019
12 Mar 2019
There are two more weeks left for you to register attendance at our fifth Seniors Expo in Palmerston on Friday 31 May. If you want to be a stallholder or take centre stage on the Malak Marketplace Community Stage to perform or showcase your group’s activity, then we need to hear from you by the end of March.
This is our fifth Seniors Expo and for the second year running, it will be held indoors in air-conditioned comfort at Palmerston Recreation Centre thanks to the City of Palmerston. This wonderful, spacious and easy access venue will once again host conversation and celebration, two focuses which have been the heart of Expo since the beginning. We are dedicating the stadium to conversation and showcasing community with colour, song and music in the large community room. Last year, this space was used for keeping fit demonstrations including seated aerobics, cardio movement and power lifting. We look forward to another program that shows what people are getting up too. And who knows, what you see may inspire you to try something new. Expo is the time to learn about our Territory – our supports, our services, our community.
This year’s theme ‘Be Bolder Not Just Older’ celebrates achievements, attitudes and lifestyles. It is also a special year for us, as we celebrate 50 years in the NT. We will dress the event in gold to go as boldly and goldly as we can. We ask all those coming to Expo to create a sea of bold, gold colour this year by dressing and accessorising wherever possible in gold.
If you haven’t submitted a registration for Expo yet, contact us for a registration form (8941 1004 Monday to Fridays, 9am to 3pm or ) or visit the COTA NT website, publishing an online form and information about the day.
