Leaking irrigation

Age and damage to the pipes meant that this irrigation system was causing dying lawns and minor flooding

Irrigation systems that are damaged can result in unnecessary water usage, supply of water in all the wrong places and a dead lawn and garden to boot! One member asked us to help fix her irritating irrigation.

On inspection, it was found that the irrigation system (which was over 10 years old) had numerous splits in the poly pipe, which meant that water was spilling out in the neighbour’s yard, but not over the lawn as intended.

Seventy-five metres of new irrigation pipe was installed by a local trade along with new control valves. The new system along with the reprogrammed control valves have seen the flood problem solved and the lawn completed recovered.
