Visit the online COTA NT calendar to see what, where and when we’re organising or hosting. Note there have been a few changes – Our Common Threads sewing group have moved to CWA’s Darwin headquarters as they had (sadly) outgrown our space and there is a new Super Ageing class Easy Moves (suitable for total beginners or those recovering from surgery or illness).
Remember to bring your Membership card with you to the following classes to receive your Members’ discount: Pilates, Easy Moves, Strong and Functional, Seated Aerobics and Tai Chi.

One-off events
Zumba Gold
Join Ann McNamara for a one-off, one-hour Zumba Gold Special on 24 September at Spillett House, 65 Smith Street, Darwin at 12pm. Please book to let us know you’re coming. This is a FREE session and open to all members of the community. (Book here)
Hearing Health Talk
Also on 24 September, a free Hearing Health Talk by Audika hosted by COTA Coomalie at the Outback Litchfield Resort, 9.30am to 11am. Includes morning tea and complimentary hearing screenings and personalised advice. Bookings are required for catering purposes: Call Jan on 0408 760 257 (leave a message if call not picked up)
Rural Seniors Expo
Friday 9 October, 10am to 2pm Coolalinga Central, 425 Stuart Highway, Coolalinga. Jointly facilitated by COTA NT, nbn local and Litchfield Community Library. Entry is free and you can enjoy meeting stallholders, attending presentations and picking up free giveaways. Plus a Stroll and Stamp card to fill in for a chance to win! Exhibitors can register for FREE here. Registrations close on Monday 5 October.
Grandparents Day (GPD)
This year GPD is celebrated in the NT on Sunday 25 October. Visit the NT Grandparents Day website for ideas on how to celebrate the day with your grandies, big and small.
More details on COTA NT’s Grandparents Day activities will be communicated at a later date.
Annual General Meeting (AGM)
This year’s AGM will be held on Friday 30 October at 10am in the large activity room at our head office, Spillett House, 65 Smith Street, Darwin. The meeting will be followed by light refreshments.
In accordance with Clause 44 of the NT Associations Act a copy of the 2025/2026 audited accounts will be available for inspection by Members upon request.
