‘Talking to people’ and ‘meeting people’ were highlighted by attendees as the best bits of their Expo experience

The 2026 Katherine Seniors Expo has been celebrated as a successful and welcoming community event, with feedback surveys highlighting overwhelmingly positive experiences from attendees.

Participants praised the Expo for its “friendly vibe”, valuable information, and the opportunity to connect with a wide range of services, organisations and community groups. Many attendees described the event as “excellent”, with several saying they enjoyed “meeting people”, “talking with stallholders” and discovering new activities and support services available in the region.

Visitors particularly appreciated the diversity of exhibitors, including aged care providers, government departments, health and wellbeing services and community organisations. Several respondents noted how helpful exhibitors were in answering questions and providing practical advice, especially around aged care, pensions and community supports.

The Expo also created valuable social connections, with attendees commenting positively on the welcoming atmosphere and the chance to engage with others in the community. Many said they would attend future events again and would recommend the Expo to friends and family.

Survey results showed that most attendees found the information provided useful for their lifestyle and needs, reinforcing the importance of events like the Seniors Expo in supporting older Territorians to stay informed, connected and engaged. 73% of survey respondents described the Expo experience as ‘excellent’, with 27% opting for ‘good’.

COTA NT thanked exhibitors, volunteers, staff and attendees for contributing to another successful event and helping create a positive experience for the Katherine community.
