You must make sure you are eligible for a travel concession before leaving for your trip. Before making your travel arrangements contact the Pensioner and Carer Concession Unit. The travel concession is for members that have one of the following concession cards:
You need to have lived in the Northern Territory (NT) for at least two years before you travel to get a concession. The travel concession is available every two years from the start date of your last travel concession. The concession applies to any form of transport, including private vehicle. The concession is also available for family and friends to visit you in the NT. Visit the NT Government website for Travel Concessions for access to application forms.

Email The Qantas Carer Concession Card is issued to people with disability and high level support needs who require the full-time assistance of a carer whilst they are on the aircraft. A person is eligible if they need to have one-on-one support when seated on the aircraft for assistance with meals/drinks, transferring to the bathroom, orientation, communicating with the flight staff etc. A person is not eligible if they only need assistance boarding the aircraft, or when they arrive at their destination.
Qantas Carer Concession cardholders and their nominated carer will receive a number of discounts for Qantas domestic travel within Australia.
The card is a photo ID card which is valid for three years and has an administration fee of $49.50 including GST.

This free service is for seniors and mobility impaired passengers who reside in the Palmerston area and have an appointment at the Royal Darwin Hospital, Private Hospital, Diabetes Australia or the Farrar Medical Centre.
Door to door services operate to and from the above medical facilites three times per day (Monday to Friday ex public holidays). To be eligible passengers must be the holder of a current NT Government Pensioner and Carer Concession Card, NT Government Seniors Card, Vision Impaired Travellers Pass or a disability preventing them from using the regular bus services.
