The Food Safety Information Council is a not for profit organisation primarily providing information to consumers on the safe storage, preparation and serving of food in the ‘domestic’ environment. Food Safety Week runs in November and promotes food safety with the aim of reducing the estimated 4.1 million cases of food poisoning in Australia reported every year.
