Australian Death Notification Service

The Australian Death Notification Service is designed to let organisations know someone has died. 

It is a free government initiative to help people get in touch with multiple organisations using a single online notification.

A guide to the information you need

To use this service, you need to provide details of the person who died, including:

  • death certificate
  • account and membership details
  • state or territory where they died
  • last known residential address.
