Linking breath, movement and postures, Slow Flow is a practice that invites us to move but slow down, to feel each movement, to transition with ease and control and to stay calm and focused in the process.
Slow Flow enables us to bring our Asanas (Yoga postures) to life, to learn how to move with them, to eventually find a safer and more connected way to go about our daily life.
With a general focus on body awareness, concentration, mindfulness, and relaxation, each flow can help us develop other areas specifically such as strength, flexibility, balance, agility, etc.
Slow Flow is accessible for beginners and all age groups.
Note from Severine: “For senior yoga, I adapt our traditional practice such as avoiding going up and down too much (we start on the floor for centering/warm-up, then get up and go through standing postures/balances, then come back to the floor for cooling/relaxation), I mainly do supine twists to ensure the spine is long and supported and offer plenty of options. I will also adapt depending on the specificities in the group.
