Scams Awareness Week – Learn the Signs and Protect Yourself, Free Webinar

COTA Australia invites you to a free 60 minute webinar on Monday 24 August, commencing at 11.30am (NT Time)

Scams Awareness Week runs from 24 – 28 August and Services Australia’s Scams Prevention and Engagement Team, in partnership with COTA Australia, are presenting a webinar – Learn the Signs and Protect Yourself.

The webinar commences at 11.30am noon and concludes at 12.30am

There are 2 parts to the webinar:

• 30 minute presentation and
• 30 minute Q&A segment.

When registering for the webinar, you will have the opportunity to ask a question, if you choose.
The webinar will be presented on MS Teams and closer to the webinar, you will receive invitation links via Teams, to join the webinar.

Don’t get caught out – learn how to recognise and respond to Services Australia and myGov scams. 

You will learn how to identify common scam tactics, understand the warning signs, and know what to do if you or someone you know is targeted.  If you would like to ask a question, you can add your question when you register and the Scams Prevention and Engagement presenter will address as many questions as possible in this session.

The rapid growth of artificial intelligence is also giving scammers new ways to create more convincing and targeted scams, making it harder than ever to tell what’s genuine.
