This event will introduce you to the three lifts of powerlifting: the squat, benchpress and deadlift. Qualified powerlifting coaches will be on hand to provide information and answer questions. This is an interactive session. Please wear flat closed in shoes and gym gear. No previous experience in strength training is necessary.

Powerlifting is the prototypical load-bearing activity & will support the health of young & old. Masters Powerlifting is not just competitive, but aims at self-improvement & health and fitness for men & women of all ages. There are Australian Championships for masters lifters such as the Oceania, Commonwealth & World Championships up to over 70 years of age.
