Grandparents Day

Grandparents Day is about celebrating the love, respect and gratitude Territorians have for their grandparents and older kin in our Territory. It is also about making sure grandparents and older kin get support and recognition for what they have done and continue to do for their families, friends, and communities.

• On Grandparents Day say thank you for the contributions made by grandparents, granfriends and older kin to their families and communities. 
• Grandparents Day recognises the diversity of grandparent relationships across age groups, cultural backgrounds and geographical locations. 
• Spend time with an older loved one on Grandparents Day. 

Grandparents Day is marked on the last Sunday in October in the NT and was founded in 2021 by COTA NT with the support of the Northern Territory Government.
