COTA NT advocating for and working towards an age-friendly, just, inclusive and equitable society for all Territorians over 50
COTA Central Australia serves seniors in the Barkly region of Central Australia covering Alice Springs, Tennant Creek, Uluru and Kings Canyon and many other communities.
COTA NT in Alice Springs is based at:
50+ Community Centre, 11 Wills Terrace, Alice Springs, NT 0870
Monday to Fridays, 8.30am to 1pm
COTA Central Australia’s Coordinator, Fran Kilgarrif is usually available three mornings per week (Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays) to engage with local seniors and advocate on their behalf; and to help increase the benefits of the NT Seniors Card scheme for the community.
We also have a specialist Aged Care Navigator based at the centre, Deb Pepper, who is available three mornings a week (Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays) to assist seniors, their friends, families and carers with accessing government funded aged care services and support.
COTA NT Alice Springs has a dedicated Facebook page, which you can follow for local information, news and events.
The staff in Alice Springs run two main programs, NT Seniors Card and Aged Care Navigators but also collaborate with local government, organisations and groups to create events and workshops throughout the year, including:
