Your Voice: On your experience of receiving aged care services at home
11 May 2026
If you are seeking or receiving aged care services at home – or if you care for or support someone who does – we want to understand what this has been like for you.
By sharing your experience, you can help us understand:
- what works well for people receiving aged care services at home
- what feels confusing, frustrating, or hard
- what could be improved in the future
The best way for us to understand aged care services at home is to hear directly from the Territorians using them. The survey is short and should take 5 -10 minutes to complete.
If you would like to complete the survey over the phone, please contact COTA NT on 08 8941 1004 during office hours (Mondays to Fridays, 9am to 3pm).
Your responses will help inform us and in turn, we will inform COTA Australia’s and Older Person’s Advocacy Network’s (OPAN)’s advocacy to Federal Government to improve experiences for people utilising aged care services at home in the Northern Territory.
(This survey has been designed based on a survey released by COTA SA. We feel it’s important to hear about the experience in the Territory AND how we can improve our services to you).
About the survey
The following survey asks for your experience of aged care services at home.
The survey can be completed by:
- Anyone who is seeking or receives aged care services in their home, OR
- Anyone who informally supports/cares for a person who receives these services.
We are interested in what your experience has been like, in your own words. In the survey, ‘aged care services at home’ refers to any support funded by the Australian Government that you receive in your home. You may also know this by their program names – Support at Home (SaH), Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) or a Home Care Package (HCP).
Please complete the survey by midnight on Sunday 31st May 2026.
