COTA for Older AustraliansCouncil on the Ageing NT is part of the wider COTA Federation: COTA Australia (the national body), COTA (ACT), COTA (NSW), COTA (NT), COTA (QLD), COTA (SA), COTA (TAS),COTA (VIC) and COTA (WA). Its network also includes COTA Holidays and COTA Insurance.

COTA Australia

COTA Australia works to:

  • Promote, improve and protect the circumstances and wellbeing of older people in Australia as citizens and consumers. 
  • Be recognised by government, the general community and media as representing, advocating for and serving all older Australians.

COTA submissions

COTA Australia makes representation to Federal Government Ministers, Shadow Ministers and senior advisers on issues of relevance to older people.  Its submission to the Productivity Commission inquiry “Caring for Older Australians” was used by the Commission as the guide text for its inquiry.  For further information about COTA submissions go to Submissions and for information about this very important inquiry go to Aged Care Reform 

Policy alerts
