Cecilia Chiolero

PICAC & Office Manager

Cecilia moved from Italy to Australia, and to the Northern Territory in 2007. She was appointed as COTA NT’s PICAC manager in 2018. In this role, she provides cultural awareness sessions and training specifically to the aged care sector and works closely with seniors from culturally and linguistically diverse communities across the NT. PICAC aims to:

  • Ensure the special needs of older people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds are identified and addressed;
  • Improve the partnerships between aged care providers, culturally and linguistically diverse communities and the Commonwealth Department of Health & Ageing.
  • The PICAC program is delivered through a wide program of activities based on networking – making connections within the NT community through events and meetings; and representation – giving CaLD seniors a voice at advisory groups and forums, service delivery and training.

Cecilia also has overall responsibility for the day to day operations of the COTA office.

Cecilia holds a degree in Business and Economics, Diploma of Project Management and Cert IV in Human Resources.
