Katherine Senior Citizens

Katherine Senior Citizens Association’s members meet up twice per week in addition to outings on Wednesdays, with craft being held on Fridays. During Seniors Month, the association puts on additional activities. COTA NT welcomed members of the association to its Seniors Expo in Darwin, which provided a wonderful opportunity for Katherine and Darwin-based friends to reunite.

The Association meets at the Community Hall, 1/16 Bernhard Street, Katherine and welcome new members. Please contact us and we will put you in touch with the Secretary, Gillian.

Secretary of the Katherine Senior Citizen Association Gillian Hagger said the overwhelming support from the local community keeps seniors active and happy in the community. “The town regularly supports us in buying raffles or supplying prizes, and that money supports our outings,” Mrs Haggert said. “Our outings are very important because a lot of senior citizens rely on the friendship and it really adds to our lifestyle.”
