Arafura Music Collective

Arafura Music Collective is a community of musicians and performing artists based in Garrmalang (Darwin), on Gulumoerrgin (Larrakia) land, in the Northern Territory.

Nearly 30 years ago, Arafura Music Collective had its genesis in a group of friends who shared a love for the chamber music repertoire and the sheer joy of playing together in a small ensemble.

If you are a musician

Are you passionate about small ensemble/chamber music and contributing to a creative Community that values creative collaboration and cultural diversity?

To join Arafura Music Collective, you must apply. The selection committee, including the Creative Director, will review submissions for musical proficiency and alignment with the Collective’s values. You may be invited for a discussion or trial period.

If successful, you’ll be notified and invited to join via email. Membership requires a $40 annual fee.
